Beijing: The 2008 Paralympics
Two weeks after the Olympic Games, Beijing is warming up for the Paralympics. The Paralympic Games are the Olympics for athletes with physical or mental disabilities. In coming weeks, athletes living with disabilities will be compete for gold, silver and bronze medals. Germany is sending 170 contenders.

No less than 472 gold medals are up for grabs - for the very best. But technology is also increasingly important - with the structure of hi-tech aids and prothestic limbs playing their role in the games.
